I know it's a long time since my last journal, but we've had a lot to do at school. Its just three schooldays left, so things have calmed down a little.
Week 18 and 19 I had my practice period at the local florist. It was a lot of fun, and I made a total of 8 bouquets and 5 decorations (I didnt get the chance to take photos of them all, but Ill try to upload what I got). I was given so much more responsibility this time, and dealing with customers went a lot better than I had hoped for (except a grumpy old lady who yelled at me when I told her that there was no white orchids left). Two great weeks, with great people!
Ive finished my design-project. I wrote about Ellinor Flor, who is a well-known Norwegian textile artist. She is most known for her very special hats; they are more like little stories than clothing. Shes also known for her collection with knitted clothing inspired by selburosa and other traditional knitting-patterns from Selbu, Norway. In Selbu, people have been knitting after the Selbu-patterns since the 1800s. They knitted all the time; when they were visiting neighbours , herding the animals, even when they walked to the store. I ended up with knitting a selbu-pattern-mitten with a personal twist, but the quality of the yarn was really bad, and the result even worse.
Yesterday the class took home everything we have done this year. That includes all of our projects, sketches, folders, books, everything. It was a lot more than I had expected, and getting it home was a nightmare. Ill try to upload a couple of sketches, when our scanner is working again. Im really going to miss my class. We are only 7 students, so during this year, weve become really close. Its going to be strange to not see them each day anymore! Hopefully, my next class will be just as great.
Soon we will know which schools we will go to next year. I was the only one in my class who applied for floristry, and the only one that didnt apply for hairdressing. I really, really hope that I get in on the school I have applied for!

For being your first vectors are very nice compositions, love them.
But I'm not really sure if I can call them vectors, since I only use brushes.. : P
But I'm going to experiment a littlebit, so we'll see how things turn out.. : P
